As far as our troop is concerned, we have always opted
to forego prizes in favor of the higher profit option. All the
profits from their sales then go into their individual camping
accounts. We have an aggressive camping program as well as frequent
Philmont Treks. With this in mind, the scouts are highly motivated to
sell the popcorn. The parents are very supportive as this takes some
of the financial pressure off of them.
