While I have the greatest respect for the religious and cultural values and
practices of others, can we remember that we are not dealing with that here?
We have some yahoo millworker from Lincoln, Me. (Been there, Seen that)
who just is too (Unscoutly Expletive Adjective deleted) rednecked
to remove his (almost certainly involving some Budwieser or fishing theme)
hat indoors upon polite request from someone who is trying to uphold/support
what is considered by most in our culture to be basic manners.
Not every idiocsyncratic habit can, or should be, elevated to the level of
culture, with the appropriate and deserved respect appurtenant thereto.
