This is from a friend of mine on another list. This database is where I
found the words to the song about the Scotsman's kilt, among other things.
It is a great place to bookmark, when you need the words to that old
campfire song that you sang as a child . . .

The Digital Tradition, a searchable database of folk songs, is available at
a new location:
Due to potential copyright problems, its old location at Xerox had been shut
down in July. There are many songs about railroads, trains, etc in the base
including old songs with new words, as well as many songs on other subjects.
All told there are nearly 8000 titles.
