It has always been my experience that a man removes his
hat when he is indoors. That was CERTAINLY the case when
I was in the service. I find it hard to believe that the
Boy Scouts would designate a uniform policy that goes
against both accepted common convention (including
what my mother taught me) AND military protocol.
Therefore, it is my opinion that the hats should come
I also recall in the far distant past, when walking into
certain establishments, a bell was rapidly rung behind
the bar if one entered "covered". That little faux pas
cost the transgressor a round for the house. :-)
