Re: Female Cub Leaders Wearing Khaki

Back in either Feburary or March, I posted here that the BSA's National
Insignia and Uniform Committee was looking at standarizing the uniforms
worn by both male and female Scouters...it sounds like they are implementing
it....it was due to be implemented at the start of the program year, so it's
>I just heard a rumor from our council and I was wondering if anyone else
>It came from one of the DE's in my council, she got it from the scout
>Remember I don't want to start a rumor but I was told that women cub leaders
>will be able to wear Khaki uniforms regardless of their rank as leader.
>I am not sure if they are doing away with the yellow, I just heard khaki
will be okay to wear.
From what I've been able to find out (not a whole lot since coming over
here), the gold and
blue will be retained as an OPTIONAL, TRADITIONAL uniform for a while to see how
well this "catches on" (which should be quick) before they decide to pitch
the old stuff.
We'll see...in the meantime, has anyone else heard from their Councils??
