Thanks go out to Peter for the wonderful compilation
on the box oven.
Few remarks though.
Holding the aluminum foil with staples is probably
just as bad as using tacks. This is a safety issue.
I was using a box oven to cook cookies at a campout
and one Scout go a cookie with a tack in it. Not
a very good situation. Use the paper fasteners.
They are reusable with the next box.
Also after heavy use the cardboard box may approach
the necessary flash point. I had a box oven that
was used at several campouts that finally reached
the questionable point. (I've als used a box that
was not sutable (due to some chemical in the cardboard)
that began smoking with the first use!)
Now after all the heavy stuff. While demonstrating
I explain that if you want your food to cook quickly
use a microwave oven box and if you want the food
nice and brown use a toaster oven box. They seem
to work best. :)
