Since I only made it as far as Life Scout as a boy, I was particularly
happy to be in the Eagle Patrol. (No, it ain't the same, but ...)
Lots of good ideas and leadership methods that I can take back to my
troop and use in working my ticket. If I ever get through it, I
should get down to "only" an hour a day -- but it will probably take
me 15 hours a week to do it! The best part, though, is the very
positive effect this will have on the boys in the troop.
Of course, I HAVE had to add a new category to my ticket. Considering
the time I've been putting in over the past five weeks, my FIRST item
is becoming reacquainted with my wife and children! (After all, they
really SHOULD take precedence over scouting!)
