One of the things that has been used for recruitmnet of New Boy Scouts is
an "open house" camping weekend at the local Council camp. The idea was
to use the camping/outdoor "carrot" as a way to lure new boys into the
program. I believe the success of this depends on the program you have
over that weekend. A good mix of scouting related activities that will
attract them into the program.''
