Jamboree Today, the daily jamboree newspaper, has openings for the
following at the 1997 BSA National Jamboree:
Reporter - youth - This Scout must have demonstrated writing skills
and the ability to produce to tight, daily deadlines. Writing
experience on a school newspaper a plus.
Two Reporters - Adult - These individuals must have experience writing
newspaper or newsletter articles with daily deadlines or some
equivalent experience. Actual professional writing experience a plus.
Circulation assistant - adult - This will be a person at least 21
years of age. The job involves working from about 10PM through 7AM to
pick up newspapers from printer and distribute throughout jamboree
site. Must be able to drive large (15 passenger) van. Must be able to
physically help distribute 40,000 copies of newspaper.
Circulation assistant - youth - This Scout should be physically
capable of handling large, heavy bundles of newspaper. Job involves
work from 10PM through 7AM each night of the event.
If you are interested in these positions, you must file a National
Staff Application (available from your Council office) and return the
application to your local Council office for processing. Mark
_Jamboree Today_ on the application and make a copy of same. Then send
