Here's my little input...
Halloween story where you pass around food items to blindfolded
participants. Where it suggests chicken liver for someone's body part...in
our district we use a peeled kiwi fruit. It doesn't feel quite as real as
raw meat, but then again it is also a little less scary for the kids (and
the adults!) It avoids the risk of that nasty old bacteria as well.
Webelo to Boy Scout
It is quite possible that the boy became bored in the program. Having
earned all his badges does leave him with not much left to do. IF you are
implying that he didn't earn his badges in an honest way (all of a sudden,
was the way it was phrased) that is another matter. While I do believe it
would be near impossible to remove the badges, and whether or not anyone has
that authority is also a sticking point. I can understand the apprehension
one would have about not being able to trust a future patrol member. Even
if this is the case, it is still possible for the boy to be a good scout.
Give the boy a chance, let him try his best as a scout. And, always
remember that you will be one of his best teachers.
