I have not been able to read my messages before today (Sunday). You other
Commissioners have really missed this one. I am disappointed.
In the "Commissioner Fieldbook for Unit Service," the reguirements are
succintly spelled out.
1. Complete training as outlined by the local council, INCLUDING earning
the Scouter's Key for Commissioners.
2. Serve as ACTIVE Commissioner for 5 CONSECUTIVE years and, of course,
be currently resistered.
3. Recharter at least 90% of the units in your area for a minimum of the
past 2 consecutive years.
4. Assist units so that more than 50% achieve the Quality unit award
for a minimum of the past 2 consecutive years.
I also saw something way back that said you should also have the Arrowhead
award. If you have met the above, you should have had your Arrowhead two
years previously. There is no application. I guess you should just let
your District Commissioner know you quality, and hopefully, they might
surprise you with a WONDERFUL Bolo. It is my proudest posession to date.
(Keep that in mind, Phil Maus) Sorry, guys, inside info.
