I watch so much TV <g> I guess I have not seen the new commercial for
Wal-Mart yet. I have not dealt directly with Wal-Mart here in town. But
they will let just about any non-profit group sell tickets, products, etc.
in front of the store. And I believe our troop has gotten some things from
them at reduced costs. The Reno Wal-Mart is also one of the prime 'selling'
locations. Last candy sale I believe our troop went through several cases
of candy in front of there store.
Now for those who aren't getting the local support, e-mail your dislike,
disbelief, etc. with the commercial to them. Wal-Mart is on-line at
http://www.wal-mart.com and they have a page dedicated to just 'Community
The e-mail addresses they advertise are:
Letters to the president email@example.com
Corporate Affairs firstname.lastname@example.org
The say in the e-mail message they want your return e-mail address, your
full name, mailing address, city, state, zip and daytime telephone number.
Maybe if they started getting flooded with e-mail from areas of the problem
stores, they might realize something was up. Just a thought.
