Audit your treasurer ASAP! Go to the bank if you have to and ask for copies of
checks or statements. He may really be too busy to do
reports, but CHECK! Make some kind of spot check yourself and do not rely on in
formation he has given you. A similar situation
occurred in our pack and when I did some research through Scouts-L this summer,
one of the warning signs of a sticky-fingered
treasurer was an unwillingness to give reports.
If you are thinking, "Oh, no, not in Scouting!", then check up on your treasurer
to prove me wrong. I hope that the treasurer is simply
difficult to get along with, not dishonest. Please let me know.
