I can't go into much detail about this, simply because I don't know all
the details, if you would like them let me know, and I can get you a
contact address. A few years Otetiana Council (Rochester, NY area)
built a Cub Adventure Camp at Camp Cutler, one of our council's camps.
It was featured in Scounting magazine a little while ago.
This camp is a theme camp, where cubs can go for a few days in the
summer and live out how someone in the past may have. They have cabin
built to be in the shape of the following: two pirate ships, a frontier
fort, a castle, a mountain man village (uses the green wall tents), a
American Indian village (teepees), and there may be others that I can't
I saw the post on High Seas Cub camp, and I thought that I'd write this
out. I'm sorry I don't know much about it, that part of the camp was
built long after I was out of Cub Scouts, and I never got the chance to
be on the program staff for it. If anyone would like more information
on it though, I can get contacts at the council that would be willing to
talk to you about it.
