Rich, I have never run across a Boy Scout who was willing to wear one of
those vests. They seem to consider it "a Cub Scout thing". In fact, I
just came back from our council's camporee and I checked around. I saw
some red Jac-shirts, although almost all were on adults, and I saw some
patches on backpacks. Of course there were patches on the right pocket of
the uniform shirts. There were also a few patch blankets, but not a
single "Red Award Vest"! I wonder if anyone else has noticed this? Is
this the general situation when it comes to Boy Scouts and those vests?
