For Kathie Cervany & others,
People, People, People:
Anything that comes from BSA National is a guideline, one that has been
tried and proven. Every Cub Pack SHOULD HAVE A FUNCTIONAL COMMITTEE.
Afterall, the Pack Committee is the backbone of the unit. If anyone has
sat thru Cub Leader Basic training was taught this. In the Pack
Organization & Leadership session, it states: the Den Leader, Asst. Den
Leader, and the Den Chief make up the den leadership team, the Committee
Chairman and the Cubmaster make up another team, and the rest of the
committee make up another team.
There are some packs that are small, and yes, some people wear more
than one hat. It's true, I did it several years, until our pack got
stronger and bigger.
People are scared of the unknown, so get them to view the Fast Start
film. It will help them to understand.
Thanks for hearing me out. I feel VERY STRONG ABOUT CUB LEADER BASIC
TRAINING. I was Cub Training chairman for 15+years.
