The reason we file the proper fundraising form is to protect the unit and
it's chartered organization from such stupidity.
Please contact your council's legal represenative who is by law accessible
through your council, and get a letter, if possible, stating that this is a
BSA approved fundraiser.
You are correct, there is no prolem, he's just trying to make more money
from anywhere. He can report all he wants, as long as you have a signed
approved fundraising form into your council, you are covered.
However, whenever it is something legal --- you are very much safer to
contact your local council legal representative (they all have to have one.)
