I promised to post a summary of the responses, most of which were off-list.
The result is basically this:
a. No one said that they felt the current uniforms are out of date, so no
one had a way to explain how.
b. No one suggesting updating, but some people called for a return of the
red beret, the overseas hat, and other OLD stuff. Do away with red band on
the socks but don't go back to garters.
c. There were complaints about sizes, cut of pants, position of zippers,
lack of (or presence of) cargo pockets. There was a suggestion to nix the
yellow Cub women's blouse and to get rid of the elastic on the new shorts.
There was a complaint regarding durability of the clothes.
d. Nobody commented on my fashion sense, but then anybody who has ever
seen how I dress would likely just point and laugh.
