You can stretch this out even more with:
Person enters, empty-handed and crying. MC asks "what's wrong?" Person
replies "I lost my case".
Person enters, case open and inverted. MC asks, "Now what are you doing?"
Person replies "My case got overturned"
A quickie goes like this: Persons runs "onstage" screaming "they're after
me! They're after me!" MC asks "Who's after you" Person replies "The
squirrels, they think I'm nuts"
Geez, I know about a hundred of these, but that's all I can think of right now.
