Actually, our meetings are true to form, as in Wood Wisdom. Broken up
into segments, etc. The boy, according to the New Scout patrol ASM, does
okay in a smaller group, but not so good in a larger one. Understand,
"larger" in this sense is 6 boys (the sum total of our troop right now).
We have plenty of boys in the congregation who are registered but not
active. I really suspect that this is a case where mom has terrorized
the boy into coming. Knowing her, however, and what effects would come
of it, I really hesitate to talk to the parents about it. Her opinion on
evrything is that public humiliation solves most problems. I am not
exaggerating: she proclaims this whenever she can (and she used to be
the Primary president!).
We have JLT this weekend; maybe we can work through some things then.
