Thanks for all the responses on obtaining the desired effect. Here is a
summary of all the ideas and suggestions I received...
For the source of the smoke...
Check with local theater groups for a smoke machine.
Check with local fire departments for a smoke machine.
Rent a hot "bug juice" machine for about a $58 cost for the weekend.
Cold mist humidifier.
Drop dry ice in water.
Tips on handling dry ice...
Use tongs or gloves, touching dry ice can cause severe burns.
Dry ice evaporates quickly, use it within a few hours of the purchase time.
(I can attest to that one, put about 1 lb. of dry ice in the freezer and it
was gone the next morning)
