I'm sure my son wasn't the youngest scout to receive his Eagle, but,
he must be close to it. He was 12 years, 9 months, and 9 days. But, before
some of you yell that that is too young, let me say that he has
stayed pretty acitive. He has earned 5 palms and is Vice Chief in OA.
He now is 15 1/2. He enjoys helping with Webelos Woods, and working
with the OA. He was self-motivated from the beginning. He did all
there was to do when he was in Cub Scouts.
My first Eagle scout was 13 yrs old and then my next one turned his
papers in the day before his 18th birthday. I have a step son that
is almost 17 and is doing his Eagle project and has one MB left.
Each boy grows at a different pace.
I have to say that my 2 boys that got their Eagles at an early age
have been better scouters than the other two. They loved scouting!!
