If no one is buying new uniforms, is it any wonder that used uniforms are
almost impossible to find?
A Scout in my Troop also played soccer with my son. That boy would often
show up to games in street clothes and change into uniform on the
sidelines, wear sweats over his uniform when out of the game for any
length of time, and change back into street clothes as soon as the game
was over (yes, it was less embarassing to him to be momentarily in his
briefs on the sideline than to wear his uniform to and from the games).
Aversion to uniforms is not limited to Scout uniforms.
But the boy did have the soccer uniform and wore it at the appropriate
times. And he had a Scout uniform that he wore at the approriate times,
all the way to Eagle.
