Testing...apples and oranges

You are talking apples and oranges here... while my boss has no need to
know what I know about freshman algebra if it has nothing to do with my
job, a better comparison might be graduate comp exams where the board
asks about things learned as bar back as a freshman intro class....
I am of the belief that a potential Eagle Scout should continue to have a
working knowledge of such things as knots and enviornmential subjects
he need not be an expert but he should also not reply "sheet bend"?
