I couldn't agree with you more on the importance of proper
uniforming. I really start boiling when I see adults out of uniform
also. However, I do think that we lead best by example, and I try
not to pick on uniforms of other adult leaders (unless, of course, I
know them quite well). We have a Professional (who shall remain
unnamed) in our district who you can introduce to someone, and he
will say, "Nice to meet you John Doe. Your uniform is incorrect."
Needless to say, he has not made a lot of friends that way.
Again, let's lead by example, and for those of us who serve on
training staffs of any sort, let's teach proper uniforming and the
