My son just bridged from a pack of 130 boys(including) tigers.
I know what you mean about not having enough time. Our parents seem to
complain the minute our pack meeting goes beyond 1 hour long.
We still do skits and songs, we just split the duties among the dens.
We ask for volunteers at our committee meetings for doing things at the
upcoming meetings. If there are no volunteers we use our official
pick-um box. We have all the dens involved at sometime during the year.
We have 15 dens and each den gets to do at least 3 things each year.
Our duties include: Set-up meeting area
Take-down meeting area
Skit or Stunt
Demonstration(usually done by Webelos)
It seems to work out great and most often we get done in an hour give or
take a few minutes. We even have time for cermonies. Granted they are
sometimes very simple cermonies, they still are cermonies and the boys
feel important, because they stand up in front of the group.
