Well, Kim, sorry you had problems with getting a room for school night.
In our district, you have to apply for your own space, which we found out
about last week during the School Nite orientation. Luckily I
doublechecked with the CC - she forgot to add school nite to the contract
when she set up the Pack and Leader meetings.
Are there other spaces where you could set up? You may actually get more
traffic since there will be other activity. We have a Kiva (open central
area in our school) which we have used successfully for Pack meetings. We
always meet in the cafeteria and an hour, if you structured it right could
be enough with lots of helpers. Take your UC up on that. How about the
stage area if it's not used. Ours can be partitioned from the gym. Also
our gym can be split. How about half?
Good luck. Want to share ideas for School nite? This is my first year as
- what's it called - School Night Pack Coordinator?!
