You might also check if your community has what is refered to here in
Tampa as a FREENET. Ours is sponsored by local agencies and the
Tampa-Hillsborough County Library System. It has several link to common
stuff and a few with uncommon things. Like all things free it also asks
for a donation. It is part of a larger public telecommunications network.
But it does have email service and for a high volume list like this one it
is great. It is a local number here in Tampa and St. Petersburg. Other
places it is a toll call. You can telenet to it at scfn.thpl.lib.fl.us
if you have that capability.
