FREE E-MAIL for cost worriers

I've seen some of the complaining here about the cost of getting your
e-mail. Since I've switched over to an untimed ISP with good coverage, I
don't worry about it. But I used to have AOL and thus can understand.
However, there is a great service called "JUNO" that I've seen a couple of
SCOUTS-L members using. JUNO is a totally FREE, yes FREE e-mail service
including the phone call (they try and have you dial a local number, but if
not available, then they have an 800 # to use).
You can either send an e-mail message to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and
mailing address and they will send you out their software. You can also look
at there homepage at http://www.juno.com but last time I looked, you can't
download the software from the site yet. I don't know how long this will
take as my request took about 3 months. (I'm going to hand out copies of the
disk to lots and lots of Scouters at our roundtables coming up this
September) Or if you don't mind not getting the fancy mailer package you can
e-mail me at email@example.com and I will get a copy of the disk out to
you within 2 days. Probably the same day if I get the request before our
mail cutoff time of 4 p.m.
I know it won't eliminate what some of us think as treasure and gold and
other as silly. But you can't complain about the cost of it anymore.
