If film canisters *are* unfit for foodstuffs, how can these companies that
sell the little lids advertise them for use as salt and pepper shakers???
Isn't there some regulatory agency that would put a stop to this??
Someone is going to have to get a whole darn lot more specific about the
dangers before I stop using them. I have used them regularly for years
with no more problems than if I had used too much salt from any other
container. pop pop. I even have a set in my desk at work to use with my
daily lunch. They are tough, seal tight, don't crack, and don't pop open
leaking salt and pepper all over like most other things I've tried. Until I hea
something much more definitive I'll consider this another cry of "Wolf!"
Anybody who has eaten food prepared by scouts really can't be too
concerned about a couple of trace elements in a film cannister.
