I have a rather pleasant story to share from this past weekend.
My troop went to Laramie, WY to the territorial park to work on the
American Heritage MB. They enjoyed a full day of roping, jail breaks,
1870s base ball, saloon girls (I don't think any parents are on trhis
conference) and a recreation of the old fort. A full day.
Before we left, my troop guide asked if we should take uniforms to wear
during the day, as I had forgotten to remind them. No boy complained or
argued against it. No silly reasons why not.
All of the boys but one brought his uniform. This one happened to be the
SPL, and felt VERY left out. That won't happen again, I believe.
The BOYS suggested the uniforming, rather than the other way around.
What a nice change. :0 :)
