My two cents on the "hot dog" issue. Around these parts we call hot dogs
"hot dogs" (wow--what a concept!). However, in Maine, at least in the
upper Penobscot Bay area, they are called "frankforts."
Also, the red-skinned ones you see sometimes are called "red hots."
Give me a good half-smoke anyday, though. Briggs half-smokes are one of
the things I miss most about Baltimore's Memorial Stadium...go Orioles!
