Uniforms on flights

I read with interest the discussion on wearing
uniforms. Here's a perspective from the "other
side', as I am a flight attendant when I am not
Scouting. I have had several Scout groups in
Uniform on airplanes that I have been working, and
besides the postive things that I have seen
mentioned here, have also noticed that the demeanor
of the other, non affiliated adult passengers change
to the positive. Generally, most business travelers
don't like groups of kids, and we get quite a lot
into Baltimore and DC, but their attitude is more
positive when they see the Uniforms. I also agree
that the wearing of a uniform would not make the
kids more of a target-people intent on a "dark"
purpose will hopefully be deterred, but not incited.
In fact, I always feel that I'm wearing the "wrong"
uniform when we have Scouts on board.
