While in London a few weeks ago, I saw several different patrols of
Scouts or Venturers/Rovers in what we might call Class A uniforms.
It was nice to see them, and I didn't notice any problems. In Dublin,
the morning after a night of trouble in northern Ireland, there was a
fairly large group of Cubs (boys and girls) waiting for a train.
Again, I didn't see any problem.
While I didn't see any Scout uniforms on our planes, I don't think
you're going to find officials or travellers confusing Scouts with
If you don't already have your international Letter of Introduction,
I'd request it. Your Council office can probably supply the form.
