I fully agree with the precautions suggested for transporting Scouts in
multiple vehicles, but...
My Webster's unabriged describes a convoy as "a train of vehicles".
To me the term "convoy" brings to mind a string of Military
vehicles running nose to tail with little room between. That is
probably dangerous for them and certainly dangerous for civilians;
as well as illegal (its called tailgating). I've seen church groups,
band groups and even Scout groups doing it. A BAD idea.
In my opinion a group of vehicles, each separated by several hundred
yards, is not what is being referred to in the Guide to Safe Scouting.
What say the Group?
