What a great trip indeed! It's those unusual things that a make
a trip just that much more memorial for the scouts and leaders.
I am also glad to see your daughter is going through with the
Silver Award project. I know exactly what that means as a
leader and a mother. I am in that situation now with my own.
I am at work, so I don't have my book in front of me, but I
the requirement to be a Senior Scout is 9-12 grade and your
daughter's age shouldn't keep her from moving up to Seniors.
Your daughter should also be able to work on her bridging
requirements. Her Silver Award project has nothing to do with
those requirements. There are many scouts who never obtain the
Silver Award but still bridge; so one doesn't affect the other.
