Hello Fellow Scouters:
Our troop had a great summer camp at Camp Mack Morris, located near Camden,
TN. If you are looking for a good camp, check this one out. They advertise
in the SCOUTING magazine. Also, a visit to the NATIONAL SCOUTING MUSEUM in
Murray, KY, is a must. It is only an hour drive from Camp Mack Morris. Our
troop now has an expedition at Philmont.
Anyway, I have noticed on TV lately that park rangers wear the straw type of
campaign (Smokey the Bear) hats in the summer months. They look like they
would be a lot cooler than the type usually worn by scouts/scouters
advertised in the BSA catalog. Does anyone know where these types of hats
can be ordered, and what their price might be?
Thanks! Enjoy the summer.
