I would like to add my .02 worth to Dan Gille's comments about Eureka tents.
I bought one of their four season expedition tents. While setting it up
during a campout, the main ridge pole snapped. I don't know if something
was wrong with the pole or if I exerted to much pressure on it, but it snapped.
Upon my return home, I called Eureka's 800 number and told them my problem.
Within days, I had a replacement pole and my tent has been working great
ever since. That was three years, a Philmont trek, and many, many campouts ago.
I appreciate how Eureka stands behind their products.
BTW, I love sitting around the virtual campfire with all of our scouts-l
family. Keep the excellent information flowing.
