Actually, the stars should be displayed as if on the FLAG's own right, as if
the flag were facing you. Thus, as you look at the flag, stars are on the
left. If the flag is displayed vertically and viewable from both sides, the
stars should point as closely as possible to the north or east. From the
flag code book, got my copy through the VFW and DAV.
