Well the big day is approaching rapidly, so I will be unsubscribing on
Tuesday 7/9 so Jim can pack up the computer. When we get to Iowa
and get settled, Jim will probably subscribe again, as I'm retiring for a
while from Scouts. Our son, Ian, will have his last BOR with his Troop
tonight so he can officially have the rank of 1st Class when he joins his
new Troop (he completed 2nd & 1st Class simultaneuously). Noel will
be keeping a diary on our trek to work towards one of his Bear requirements
for Cub Scouts.
We are (in reality, me ;) ) asking our international, cyber Scouting Family
please keep us in your hearts & prayers starting 7/11 as we load the truck
couldn't afford to hire pros :( ) and head out 7/12. If anyone in Quebec,
Michigan (we're taking the ferry across Lake Michigan 7/15, 7:30 AM),
Minnesota & Iowa sees a white Nissan Hatchback with a woman, one son & cat
carrier leading a yellow Ryder (this is not an ad) with a bald man & one son,
wave to us! Please pray that we get through the border crossings with little
trouble. And a final note, any one in Winnebago Council, who will be in or
Cresco, Iowa on 7/16 @11 AM, have we got a service project for you!
Until we meet again around the great Scouting campfire, we remain........
Yours in Scouting
