I rather expect that after the ValueJet incident, stoves are going to be
looked at even more closely.
These things CAN, however, be shipped through the mail. Plan on buying
fuel at Philmont, and pop the stove and canisters in the mail about a
week before you plan to arrive. They should be there waiting for you.
Just make certain to put information about your trek and such on the
box, and you can avoid the trouble of flying with stoves.
