Baden-Powell said a scout should "Be Prepared - for any old thing"
Here's a list I came across about quality of life in general and I think it
is eminently suitable to scouts as a specific group.
A Scout should be prepared to:
heal a wound,
plan an expedition,
order from a French menu,
climb a mountain face,
enjoy a ballet,
roll a kayak,
embolden a friend,
tell a joke,
laugh at himself,
sing a children's song,
throw a dog a stick,
program a computer,
cook a tasty meal,
Specialization is for insects.
