Mineral Spirits (Paint Thinner)
The second year I worked at Philmont as a Ranger, I was walking through
the dining hall and caught the corner of a table with my leg, exactly in
the spot where my compass was carried in the cargo pocket. I quickly
discovered what was in the compass. I wasn't really happy, as I then
needed to buy a new compass (and didn't have any money until payday. I
really hated to charge a $6 sylva compass on my credit card:), and even
worse, I had to rewash what had been a clean pair of shorts:).
I don't think you can do anything about the bubble, most likely trying
to put more liquid in would be either impossible or counter productive.
