Subject: 4th of July
Okay. Everyone knows that the 4th of july is coming up, and I just found
out how to make a homemade rocket to set off on the 4th. Enclosed is the
directions for making one. They are perfectly safe, no TNT, no fire.
1 or more empty clear film containers (w/ lid poking in and little bumps on
lid side. Available at Walmart for free)
1 Box of Alka-Seltzer Original Tablets. Get a Big box of them. Once you
start making them, you can't stop. Trust me. (Also Available at Walmart)
1 Cup of water
Beforehand, Fill a cup with water. Open the Alka-seltzer. You shoud fild
a bunch of rectangular packages inside. Tear 5 or 6 down the middle.
There should be 2 tablets inside each one. For a powerful rocket, cut
each tablet in half. For a regular rocket, cut them in fourths. Put the
pieces in a plastic bag, and go outside.
When ready, and you have done the above, do this:
Pour water from the glass into a film container until it is half full. Get
a piece of Alka-seltzer from the bag and put it next to the film container.
Get the lid and put it next to it also.
IMPORTANT: DO THE FOLLOWING VERY FAST!
1. Drop the piece of alka-seltzer into the film container.
2. Put the lid on tight.
3. Put the film container upside-down (lid first) onto the cement.
4. Get back at least 1 foot.
5. Count to ten.
When you say ten, the film container should pop up into the air. Do this
as much as you want!
