Enlighten me, what is the purpose of a one day 50 miler? I can see this as a
fundraising event - but I know of no Scouting activity that would promote
such a difficult task for anybody. Surely this isn't to qualify for the 50
miler award, which requires 5 days on trail plus conservation work.
