I still have a tube of Ultrathon by 3M and purchased it in the grocery store
2-3 years ago. Deet is 31.58% so I don't use it on my children. It does
work better than most. It's thick and lasting and it doesn't smell alot.
Just one more thought:
The directions for use state that "It is a violation of *Federal law* to
use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling." Then it says
in the precautionary statement and hazards to humans - warning: Do not get
in eyes or mouth. Do not apply to hands of young children. Do not apply
over cuts, wounds, or irritated skin.
Has any one ever seen the *DEET POLICE*? I wonder when and where they are?
Can you be taken to jail for applying it to children's hands?! Could you
really use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling? Please.
Also if you go to a doctor, take this repellent with you. Right, like I
want to get caught with the evidence in my hands!
Ok, Ok, I was just wondering :-)
P.S. - Since it's supposed to be the first day of summer when is summer
coming to New England? Has anyone heard? It has either rained, been cloudy,
or cold all of June already. We had a long, snowy, cold winter, too. Looking
forward to using our new tent and cast iron griddle...
