Bob and all,
We're going to be facing this problem in August, after summer camp.
I've thought about it a bit, and think that making the SPL an
Instructor, a Troop Guide, or another "staff" position would be a good
idea. In my particular case, my SPL seems not to have a lot of
patience with the newbies in the troop, so I think Instructor or TG
wouldn't be a good idea for him. But he seems quite well organized,
and with our troop QM going off to college in August, the QM position
might be a good slot for him. I'll suggest it to the new SPL (who
will probably be the current SPL's brother).
