The decision of which Troops to have Webelos visit is really one that
the boys and their families should have full participation. Your leadership
will be helpful in presenting the options, but they have the real say as to
where they will be active as Boy Scout and family. I would by all means have
them visit the troop sponsored by your chartered partner if at all possible.
Then I would look at which troop received your boys over the last few years.
Which troops provided Den Chiefs for you Pack? Your boys might like to
visit those troops. Don't forget that your Webelos may also have contact
with boys at school who are planning to join one of the other troops. Call
an open meeting at which you ask for imput from the Webelos and their families.
That way satisfaction with the process will be increased.
I hope that these thoughts are of value.
