Sounds like you have a great troop. One thing concerns me, though. It
appears that the adults do the "trip planning." Rather, the scouts
should be doing the troop planning, which includes "trip" planning. This
is done by the PLC.
By doing planning, the PLC learns what works, and what doesn't. They
learn how to plan, and how to suffer the consequences of good and poor
planning. As an employer, I'd rather my employees had learned that
lesson in their youth, rather than just how to light campfires. The
consequences of poor planning are less as a youth than they are as an adult.
