Cub Scout Roundtable Commissioner

I'd like to tap the wisdom of the electronic collective. I am about to
be named CS Roundtable Commissioner (the new DC asked me to take the
job and for some reason I said yes). My question is what should I know
that will enable me to put on a first class show (i.e. real learning
experience) and have people coming back wanting more.
I guess that answers can be from two categories. First, from all those
who have seen what works and what doesn't (what do you really dislike
about roundtables). Second, the hard lessons learned from those who
have blazed this trail before me (it is easier to read trail signs
than blaze brand new trails). I am looking for real OJT experiences.
It is probably best to respond to me off list (firstname.lastname@example.org)
unless you think that your response will benefit/stimulate the
collective. I will try to summarize the responses and post them to the
list when it looks like they have stopped.
I want to thank all respondents in advance for your help and advice.
PS. I have purchased the CSRT Planning Guide for 96-97, obtained a copy
of the 95-96 version, read them both cover to cover, tapped the 'net
for topics on Commisioner service, plan on taking Comm. Basic Training
as soon it is offered in the fall (already know the dates), and plan on
finishing the rest of the CSLBT split sessions this fall.
